Palisander
12th December 2025

7.30pm

  • As a very amateur recorder player, I was ‘blown away’ by the superb interpretation of the pieces – fabulously co-ordinated playing with exceptional musicality.
  • A great group of performers. Loved hearing about the different recorders.
  • I liked it a lot. I also liked the fast rhythms and different recorders (Michael, aged 8)
  • A remarkable concert showing the range of the recorder family – not only bringing early music to life but showing the versatility of the instrument.
  • High standards as usual! First time we’ve seen a recorder ensemble – excellent and so interesting. The Japanese piece was really interesting and also enjoyed the leg /foot percussion
  • I didn’t know recorders could sound like that!
  • Palisander are a wonderfully entertaining group who demonstrate the incredible variety of sounds the various recorders can produce. What a wonderful evening!
  • What amazing virtuosity. Not a great fan of baroque music normally but this is wonderful and very entertaining.
  • Amazing music; wonderful to see a vast range of recorders with excellent players. Interesting range of music pieces.
  • Lightning finger work – brilliant!
